Chapter 1215. FLOOD PROTECTION FOR FLAMMABLE AND COMBUSTIBLE LIQUID TANKS |
§ 1215-1. Flood Protection for Tanks.
Sections 1215-1 through 1215-7 shall apply to all aboveground and underground tanks used for the storage of flammable or combustible liquids, where such tanks are subject to floodwater from the Ohio River or its tributaries at any stage up to and including an 83-foot stage.
The provisions of such sections are the minimum precautions which are necessary to reasonably secure such tanks, which are endangered by water, from injury, spillage or loss of liquid. Additional safety measures may be required by the fire chief as conditions warrant.
