§ 713-43. Convention Center, Rules and Regulations.

  • The city manager shall prepare a set of rules and regulations governing the use, rental and operation of the Convention Center, which set of rules shall be revised from time to time as experience and conditions necessitate. Such rules and regulations shall include, but not be limited to, the following subjects:

    (a)

    Rental rates, including minimum fees, for use of the building for exposition purposes. Such rates shall be competitive with similar facilities in other cities.

    (b)

    Rates for rental of facilities for other than exposition purposes.

    (c)

    Rates for services, power, equipment, and other items of the type not normally included in the rental fee.

    (d)

    Provisions to protect the city from damage or loss to the premises occasioned by the rental or use of the facility

    (e)

    Provisions for protecting the City of Cincinnati from liability for personal injury or property damage occasioned by the use of the Convention Center, including, but not limited to, provisions for the posting of insurance against personal injury and property damage liability in such amount as the city manager determines is reasonably in keeping with the nature, type and extent of the use contracted for.

    Such rules may be set forth in a contract for the management of the Convention Center, in the Operations Manual for the Convention Center, or in some other form as approved by the city manager.
