§ 609-9. Tobacco Retailer Licensing.
a.
No tobacco retailer shall give, sell, or distribute tobacco products without a valid license issued by the board of health, subject to the issuances of rules and regulations by the board of health. A tobacco retailer must obtain a valid tobacco retailer license from the board of health for each property or vending machine owned or operated by the tobacco retailer.
b.
Every tobacco retailer shall display at all times a printed sign or signs on the premises of any place owned or operated by the tobacco retailer and where tobacco products are sold or distributed to the public stating that tobacco products shall not be sold to anyone under the age of twenty-one, subject to the issuances of rules and regulations by the board of health determining the following:
1.
The location and placement of the sign or signs;
2.
the dimensions of the sign or signs; and
3.
the message to be clearly and legibly displayed on the sign or signs.
c.
This ordinance shall be effective on and after December 1, 2019.
