§ 502-6. Construction on Highway, Vehicles Engaged in.

Except for such requirements as the city manager or person designated by the city manager may prescribe or as ordered by a police officer, the provisions of the traffic code shall not apply to persons, teams, motor vehicles, and other equipment while actually engaged in work upon the surface of a highway within an area designated by traffic-control devices, but shall apply to such persons and vehicles when traveling to or from such work.
