§ 407-105. Dispatching Office License; Taxi.

  • No person shall offer or proffer taxis in Cincinnati through any radio, digital or cellular means without first having obtained a taxi dispatching office license from the city of Cincinnati.

    Each office or dispatching location shall meet all requirements of the Cincinnati Municipal Code and be subject to the inspection and approval of the director.

    Each license shall expire on January 14 of the year following the date on which the license was issued.

    The fee shall be $40.00 for the initial license and $40.00 per year thereafter.

    The taxi dispatch office shall not dispatch unlicensed drivers or vehicles for fares. If at any time the director discovers that unlicensed cars or drivers are being dispatched from any licensed location the director may revoke the license of the dispatching office and the licenses of any or all public vehicles held by the person responsible for the illegal operation.

    This section shall not apply to transportation network companies.
