Chapter 308. EMPLOYMENT REGULATIONS |
§ 308-19. Longevity Pay.
All permanent full-time city employees (75 percent work time or more) in Divisions 0, 5, 7, 8 and 9 hired before January 1, 1985, shall be paid compensation for length of continuous service in the employment of the city of Cincinnati as follows:
(a)
After completion of 8 years of continuous service, the sum of $275.00 per year.
(b)
After completion of 14 years of continuous service, the sum of $325.00 per year.
(c)
After completion of 20 years of continuous service, the sum of $375.00 per year.
Said compensation for length of service shall be included in salary and shall be paid on or about the first day of December of each year beginning on or before December 31 a term of service set forth in items (a), (b) and (c) above.
In case of an employee's death, retirement or resignation with proper notice prior to the final day of December in a particular year, the employee shall be paid longevity pay for such year on a prorated basis for the number of months on the payroll during such year.
