Chapter 308. EMPLOYMENT REGULATIONS |
§ 308-17. Sick Leave.
Each full-time permanent employee, except members of the fire force on platoon duty, shall be entitled to two hours of sick leave credit for each week of service.
Members of the fire force on platoon duty serving a 48-hour work week shall be entitled to two and four-tenths hours of sick leave credit for each week of service.
An employee transferring directly from another Ohio public agency to the city service may be credited with whatever unused sick leave earned in said public agency.
Sick leave may be used, upon approval of the responsible administrative officer, for absence caused by personal illness or injury, exposure to contagious disease which results in quarantine by the board of health, or illness or death in the employee's immediate family.
The personnel officer, with the approval of the city manager, is hereby authorized to make and promulgate rules regulating the crediting and use of sick leave.
