§ 308-13. Rules and Regulations, Leaves of Absence, Sick Leave, Grievances, Temporary Transfers, and Other Matters Related to Employment.

  • The personnel officer shall, subject to the approval of the city manager, prepare rules and regulations relating to attendance control, hours of work, lunch hours, sick leave with pay, accumulated sick leave terminal pay, pay while on jury duty, call back pay, leave of absence, vacation allowance, overtime work, grievance procedures, temporary transfers and other matters having to do with attendance of employees, including those employed on an hourly or daily wage base. Further, the personnel officer shall, subject to the approval of the city manager, prepare rules and regulations relating to the use of accumulated sick leave credit for vacation time and shall, as conditions require, recommend to city council the amending or supplementing of the ordinances applicable thereto.
