§ 306-33. Police Petty Expenditures; Vouchers.

  • The director of finance is authorized and directed to draw his warrants for the reimbursement of such public officers and members of the police department who are assigned by the chief of police to the duties of collecting evidence of gambling, liquor violations and similar criminal offenses for necessary expenses incurred by them in the proper performance of such duty in purchasing such articles as cigars, cigarettes, soft drinks, candy and similar things.

    The vouchers for payment as authorized herein shall be accompanied by itemized lists presented by the officers or members of the department making such expenditures, containing a statement of the amount spent, places where spent, and any other information that may be required by the chief of police. Said lists shall be approved by the chief of police before payment is made.
