§ 306-1. The Compensation Plan.

Latest version.
  • All offices and positions in the city service the salaries of which are subject to be fixed by council shall be designated and compensated in accordance with the schedules set forth in Chapter 307, Classified Compensation Schedules, which shall comprise the compensation plan for the city service.

The amounts set opposite the title of each class of employment shall indicate the scale of pay for the particular employment in question, figured on a full time basis unless otherwise specified. Where a classification is designated "part time," the salary shall be understood to represent the total compensation for the performance of the duties of the position in question, and no regulation relating to the usual working hours in the city service shall apply to any such case. In classifications for which full time salaries are prescribed, the appointing authority may, with the approval of the civil service commission, appoint persons for less than full time work, in which case the compensation shall be proportioned to the working time.
