§ 13. Disaster Relief and Disaster Assistance.

  • Whenever the United States of America, the state of Ohio, or Hamilton County has declared the City of Cincinnati or any part of the City a disaster area, the city manager may apply for and accept disaster assistance from the United States of America and the state of Ohio. The city manager may provide emergency relief to persons suffering loss or injury from the disaster, make emergency purchases of materials and services needed for emergency relief, and may waive fees for city permits or services provided during the disaster or to restore damages caused by the disaster. The city manager may take the actions authorized by this section even if a time of public danger or emergency has not been declared pursuant to this Article.
