"Custodian" means any natural parent having custody of a minor, and "guardian" as
defined in Chapter 2111 of the Ohio Revised Code, any individual having "legal custody",
"permanent custody", or "temporary custody" as these terms are defined in Chapter
2151 of the Ohio Revised Code. Custodian shall also mean any adult who voluntarily
assumes, either temporarily of permanently, the duty to care for or supervise a minor.
For purposes of this chapter, teachers and administrators acting within the scope
of their employment at educational institutions, volunteers of religious, charitable,
educational, or civic organizations and acting within the scope of their volunteer
activities are not custodians.
