Chapter 1247. TOXIC AND HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCES - RIGHT TO KNOW |
§ 1247-7C. Toxic or Hazardous Substance.
Toxic or hazardous substance means, except as provided in Section CFPC 1247-5, a substance which satisfies any one of the following requirements:
(a)
A substance which, because of the toxic or hazardous properties which it exhibits, is determined by the council to represent a significant risk to the public health and safety as a result of foreseeable use, handling, accidental spill, exposure, or contamination; or
(b)
A substance which is known by the employer to present a significant risk of personal injury or illness in workplaces in the city of Cincinnati as the result of foreseeable use, handling, accidental spill, exposure or contamination. This subsection shall not be construed as requiring any employer to compile or generate new data.
