Chapter 1219. MISCELLANEOUS REGULATIONS |
§ 1219-67. Interior Stairway Doors.
All interior exit stairway doors in required exit stairways shall be openable from both sides without the use of a key or special knowledge or effort at all times the building or area served is occupied.
Exceptions:
(a)
Exit stairway discharge doors shall be openable from the egress side and may be locked from the opposite side;
(b)
Doors arranged in accordance with Section F-502.2 [of the BOCA Code].
Note: BOCA F-502.1 is not adopted as part of the Cincinnati Fire Prevention Code.
