§ 1219-5. Accumulated Waste and Waste Receptacles.

  • No person shall permit to remain in any part of a building or building premises, or upon any roof, or in any court, yard, vacant lot or open space, any accumulation of wastepaper, ashes, oil rags, waste rags, excelsior, hay, grass, straw, weeds, litter, or combustible waste or rubbish of any kind.

    Approved fire-resistive receptacles shall be provided for ashes, oil rags, waste rags, excelsior or material of a similar hazardous nature.

    All weeds, grass, vines or other growth, liable to be fired, or otherwise constituting a fire danger to property, shall be cut down and removed by the owner or occupant of the property on which they are found.
