§ 1209-5. Hazard Defined.

  • For the purposes of this chapter, serious safety hazards shall include, but not be limited to the following:

    (a)

    Overfusing, such as:

    (1)

    Installation of greater than 15 amp. fuses or circuit breakers on lighting circuits;

    (2)

    Installation of greater than 20 amp. fuses or circuit breakers on small appliance circuits;

    (b)

    Bridging of required fuses;

    (c)

    Unapproved splices;

    (d)

    Extension cord abuse (extension cords used as permanent wiring);

    (e)

    Unprotected knife switches or other dangerous meter board equipment;

    (f)

    Defective permanent wiring;

    (g)

    Service entrance cable likely to be subject to injury (such as adjacent to public sidewalks, driveways, areaways, and along alleys, etc.);

    (h)

    Defective or broken fixtures, switches, fixture cord, sockets, appliances or other apparatus and devices.
