§ 1207-19. Fire Safety Plan and Evacuation Procedure/High-Rise Buildings.

  • (a)

    The owner or other person having charge of buildings identified as high-rise buildings in the building code shall be required to prepare and submit for the review and approval of the fire official, a fire safety plan and evacuation procedure as set forth in this section and a fire plan review fee in the amount of one hundred dollars ($100.00).

    (b)

    A fire safety plan, prepared in accordance with the requirements of the fire official, shall be distributed to the tenants and building service employees. Tenants shall distribute to their employees applicable parts of the fire safety plan which affect their action in the event of a fire or emergency.

    (c)

    It shall be the responsibility of the owner or his agent to promptly update the fire safety plan and evacuation procedures upon changes in occupancy, use or physical arrangement.
