§ 1207-1. Scope.

  • This chapter shall apply to fire exit drills which are held for the purpose of rapid evacuation of buildings by the efficient and safe use of the exit facilities available. This chapter shall not apply to drills which are held only for the purpose of practice in the use of first aid fire protection equipment.

    It is recognized that modifications may be necessary to the details of the procedures specified in this chapter for an individual building, to make the drills more effective for their intended purpose. All such modifications shall be subject to the approval of the fire chief.
