§ 1201-69. Rules Adopted by Reference.

Rules and regulations of national technical organizations with additions and exceptions are hereby approved when adopted by council as part of this code by reference.

Such rules and regulations shall have full force and effect of ordinances except when they are not in conformity with the provisions of this code. These rules and regulations are referred to by the title of the sponsoring organization or by their abbreviations. The specific edition of such rules and regulations shall be the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) approved standard for safety to life from fire in buildings and structures, No. 101 Life Safety Code (2012 edition).
