§ 1201-1. Cincinnati Fire Prevention Code.

  • The Ohio Fire Code, excluding any and all Appendices, as it may be amended, and the Ohio Fire Code Supplement, as it may be amended, are hereby adopted by reference as part of Title XII of the Cincinnati Municipal Code. In the event of a conflict between the Ohio Fire Code or the Ohio Fire Code Supplement and the Cincinnati Fire Code (Title XII of the Cincinnati Municipal Code), the most restrictive code shall govern; where there is a conflict between a general requirement and a specific requirement, the specific requirement shall be applicable.

    Title XII, including the model codes and supplements, shall be known as the "Cincinnati Fire Prevention Code" or as the "fire prevention code."

    As used in Title XII, unless the context otherwise requires:

    (a)

    Words in the present tense include the future tense;

    (b)

    Words in the masculine gender include the feminine and neuter genders;

    (c)

    Words in the plural number include the singular number, and words in the singular number include the plural number.
