§ 1105-39. Revocation or Suspension Procedure.
A journeyman plumber's license, a plumbing contractor's registration or an apprentice registration may not be suspended or revoked without a hearing before the board of examiners of plumbers. Any person charged with a violation of Section 1105-39 CBC shall be given at least ten day's notice of the date and place of hearing and may be represented by counsel. When the board shall certify to the director of buildings and inspections that the charges as to one or more of the items set forth in Section 1105-39 CBC have been sustained, the latter shall suspend or revoke the license or permission in accordance with such certification of the board. The board's decisions shall state whether or not the person affected may apply for a new license and, if so, the length of time, not to exceed one year, before the application may be made. Where permission is granted to apply for a new license, the procedure shall be the same as for a new applicant. Any individual, whose plumber's license either master or journeyman or apprentice registration has been suspended or revoked, may within 30 days appeal to the director of buildings and inspections for a rehearing on the suspension or revocation of said license. If the director of buildings and inspections on rehearing upholds the revocation or suspension, the individual whose license or registration has been suspended or revoked, may, within 30 days thereafter appeal to the court of common pleas.
