§ 1105-11. Journeymen Plumbers to be Licensed and Plumbing Contractors and Plumbing Apprentices to be Registered.
A person may not work as a journeyman plumber unless duly licensed in accordance with the provisions of Section 1105-17 CBC. A person may not engage in the business of plumbing contractor without first registering with the director of buildings and inspections. Persons serving an apprenticeship in the plumbing trade and doing work as such in the city of Cincinnati must be registered as plumber apprentice with the director of buildings and inspections, must be enrolled in an apprenticeship training program which conforms to the apprenticeship standards as approved and registered by the Ohio state apprenticeship council and recognized by the federal committee on apprenticeship and must work under the supervision of a licensed plumbing contractor.
