§ 1001-1. Purpose.

The purpose of Chapter 1001, Air Quality, of the Cincinnati Municipal Code shall be to protect and enhance the quality of the city's air resources so as to promote the public health, welfare, and comfortable enjoyment of life, property, and recreation of the people of Cincinnati, and to enable the city, through the city manager, or his or her designee, to adopt and maintain a program for source reduction, and prevention, control and abatement of air pollution that is consistent with the federal Clean Air Act and Chapter 3704, Air Pollution Control, of the Ohio Revised Code, and the regulations adopted pursuant to those enactments.
