§ 891-9. Home Improvements Under $500.

  • All home improvements performed where the estimated cost is less than $500 shall be done pursuant to a written or oral estimate.

    Where additional material or labor is required beyond the amount of the original estimate and the total amount of all material and labor required is less than $500, an additional written or oral estimate shall be provided.

    Where additional material or labor is required beyond the amount of the original estimate and the total cost of the home improvement contract is in excess of $500, a written home improvement contract shall be executed pursuant to the provisions of Section 891-3.

    In lieu of a written or oral estimate for home improvements under $500, the parties may enter into a written home improvement contract.
