§ 891-11. Emergency Repairs Over $500.

Emergency repairs over $500 to heating, plumbing, electrical or other systems which must commence immediately for the protection of the health, safety and welfare of the residents of the premises shall be made pursuant to a written home improvement contract. Emergency repairs over $500 may commence on an oral estimate. A written home improvement contract shall be executed pursuant to the provisions of Section 891-3 as soon as practicable after the emergency repairs have commenced. The notice of cancellation and waiting period required by Sections 891-3, 891-5 and 891-7 may be waived in writing by the owner when the consumer initiates the transaction.
