§ 845-21. Other Uses of Market Spaces.

  • The market manager, at his or her discretion, may also provide for the use of market space as follows:

    (a)

    Non-profit organizations: The market manager may authorize non-profit organizations to occupy city market space if such space is otherwise not occupied. The market manager shall create standards for the issuance of agreements to occupy market space by non-profit organizations. Such standards shall be provided in the market rules and regulations;

    (b)

    Musicians and performers: The city market manager may provide for spaces and times for use of market space by musicians and performers;

    (c)

    Vacant spaces: The market manager may maintain market spaces as vacant where necessary or desirable to facilitate the operations of a city market;

    (d)

    Promotional uses: The market manager may authorize market spaces for the market's own promotional use, and may authorize the use of market spaces by other organizations for promotional purposes; and

    (e)

    The market manager may authorize the use of market spaces for such other purposes not inconsistent with other provisions of this chapter as he or she deems appropriate.
