§ 801-5. Application for License

  • Except as otherwise specifically provided in particular cases, applications for license shall be made to the city treasurer or other issuing authority on forms to be provided by them. The applicant shall state under oath or affirmation such facts as may be applicable to the license applied for.

    The city treasurer or other issuing authority shall have authority to deny a license to an applicant for failure of the applicant to comply with the provisions of the Income Tax Ordinance of the city of Cincinnati, or for being in default on court-ordered child support obligations.

    The city treasurer shall charge a $50.00 application fee for the applications for the licenses listed in this section.

    (a) Amusement Licenses:

    i. Amusement Parks, as regulated by Chapter 805.

    ii. Ball Grounds, as regulated by Chapter 803.

    iii. Cabarets, as regulated by Chapter 819.

    iv. Circuses, as regulated by Chapter 825.

    v. Skating Rinks, as regulated by Chapter 861.

    vi. Theaters, as regulated by Chapter 865.

    (b) Business and Merchandising Licenses:

    i. Antique Dealers, as regulated by Chapter 809.

    ii. Appliance Dealers, as regulated by Chapter 803.

    iii. Rooming Houses, as regulated by Chapter 855.

    (c) Police and Protective Licenses:

    i. Motor Vehicle Salvages, as regulated by Chapter 846.

    ii. Class 3 Junk Dealers, as regulated by Chapter 843.

    iii. Class 4 Junk Dealers, as regulated by Chapter 843.

    iv. Dealers in Used Automobiles, as regulated by Chapter 831.

    v. Second-Hand Dealers, as regulated by Chapter 843.
