§ 801-11. Assignment or Transfer

  • No license shall authorize any person other than the licensee to conduct a business, authorize any business other than is named therein, authorize the conduct of a business at any place other than as therein stated, or grant permission to any act other than that stated in the permit. No assignment of a license or transfer of such license to a different location shall be valid until approved by the city treasurer or other issuing authority in writing endorsed thereon. Such assignment or transfer shall be made only upon the payment of a transfer fee of ten percent of the original cost of the license, with a minimum charge of $10. When an assignment or transfer is approved, the fact shall be immediately recorded upon the property register.

    The city treasurer, or other issuing authority shall have authority to deny the assignment of a license to an assignee for failure of the assignee to comply with the provisions of the income tax ordinance of the city of Cincinnati, or for being in default on court-ordered child support obligations.
