§ 724-3. Permit, to Whom Issued, When.

  • Permits shall be issued under this chapter only to an electric utility company, telephone or telegraph company, cable television company or other private person, company or corporation which has already been granted permission to occupy the streets, lanes and public grounds of the city of Cincinnati for the purpose of erecting and maintaining poles, wires, fixtures, brackets and/or supports for the necessary wires thereon. Permits may be issued when the erection of such appurtenances makes necessary or desirable the installation, adjustment, repositioning or removal of any fixtures or equipment owned and maintained by the city of Cincinnati, whether on city-owned poles or on poles owned by a utility company. Any contractor or subcontractor employed to perform work under a permit issued pursuant to this chapter shall be identified on the permit application and approved in advance by the director or his designee.
