§ 721-113-U. Unencased Steel Beams, Columns or Lintels.

  • "Unencased steel beams, columns or lintels" shall mean any steel, wrought iron or cast iron beams, columns or lintels which are not enclosed in a casing of reinforced concrete, of a minimum thickness of two inches, reinforced with steel wire mesh of a minimum weight of one and one-half pounds per square yard, with maximum spacing of wires four inches, or a system of materials subject to the approval of the director of public works, which provides comparable, or greater, fire protection and corrosion resistance.
