§ 721-113-U. Unencased Steel Beams, Columns or Lintels.
Latest version.
"Unencased steel beams, columns or lintels" shall mean any steel, wrought iron or
cast iron beams, columns or lintels which are not enclosed in a casing of reinforced
concrete, of a minimum thickness of two inches, reinforced with steel wire mesh of
a minimum weight of one and one-half pounds per square yard, with maximum spacing
of wires four inches, or a system of materials subject to the approval of the director
of public works, which provides comparable, or greater, fire protection and corrosion
resistance.
