§ 713-6. Prohibitions on Fountain Square.

  • It is unlawful for any person or group with or without a permit to:

    (a)

    Endanger, obstruct or unreasonably interfere with the use of Fountain Square or any facility or appurtenances thereof, or access to, from or through any part of said Square, including but not limited to escalators, stairways, passageways, overhead walkways, elevators, exits and entrances. The proscription of this paragraph applies, but is not limited, to:

    (1)

    The purposeful throwing, slinging, shooting or propelling of any object on Fountain Square;

    (2)

    The lying down on the floor surface or any walking or standing area on Fountain Square.

    (b)

    Communicate on Fountain Square any obscenity, defamation, or "fighting words" including, but not limited to, a symbol, object, appellation, characterization, oral communication or graffiti which injures a person or group of persons or is likely to cause an immediate act of violence by the listener or observer.
