§ 502-24. Regulation of Traffic by City Manager in Connection with Street Construction.

  • Whenever, because of the construction, repair, reconstruction or resurfacing of a street or because of the laying of underground installations in a street, the city manager or person designated by the city manager determines it to be necessary, the street or streets adjacent thereto may be closed to vehicular traffic, the normal movement of vehicular traffic of the street or streets adjacent thereto may be temporarily altered by making them one-way streets, or truck traffic may be temporarily re-routed over parkways. Whenever a street is closed or the normal movement of traffic over a street is altered by the city manager pursuant to this section, the city manager shall cause appropriate traffic signs to be erected indicating that the street is closed or the normal movement of traffic has been altered.
