§ 502-19. Disobeying Traffic-Control Devices and Signals.

  • (a)

    Unless otherwise instructed by a police officer at the location of a traffic-control device, no pedestrian shall disobey the instruction of any traffic-control device placed in accordance with the provisions of the traffic code.

    (b)

    It shall be unlawful for the driver of any vehicle to disobey the instruction of any traffic-control device, unless otherwise instructed by a police officer at the location of the traffic-control device

    (c)

    At intersections controlled by traffic-control signals, vehicular traffic facing a steady red traffic-control signal shall stop before entering the intersection and shall remain stopped until directed to proceed by a steady green traffic-control signal.

    (d)

    When both traffic-control signals and stop signs are erected at an intersection, traffic shall be governed by the traffic-control signal while it is in operation.
