§ 501-1-I. Intersection.

  • "Intersection" shall mean the area bounded by the lateral lines, real or projected, of two or more public streets or highways which meet or cross another at grade.

    Where a highway includes two roadways 30 feet or more apart, then every crossing of each roadway of such divided highway shall be regarded as a separate intersection. If an intersecting highway also includes two roadways 30 feet or more apart, then every crossing of two roadways of such highways shall be regarded as a separate intersection.

    The junction of an alley with a street or highway shall not constitute an intersection.
