§ 904-3. Contempt of Council.

  • Every person who, having been summoned as a witness by the authority of council or a duly authorized committee of council to give testimony or to produce books, papers or other evidence upon any matter under inquiry before the council or such committee, willfully fails to appear, or who, having appeared, refuses to testify to any acts within his knowledge, or to produce any papers or books in his possession, or under his control, relating to the matter under inquiry, shall be deemed guilty of contempt of council, a misdemeanor of the first degree.
