§ 403-5. Disposition of Fees; Refund.

  • Each gas meter inspection fee deposited with the director of public utilities, shall be held until the result of the test has been reported to the director. If the meter examined is found to be correct, the fee shall be paid into the city treasury. If the meter is found to be incorrect, the fee shall be refunded to the applicant and the company shall furnish a new meter without charge to the consumer. If, for the purpose of inspection, it shall be necessary to remove and disconnect a meter, the company owning the meter shall provide the consumer with another meter for use during the time required for the inspection.
