§ 402-49. Challenging and Signals Before Starting.

  • In starting an aircraft engine, the customary procedure shall be used by the person operating the starting device and the person at the engine controls. All challenges and signals between the former and the latter shall be clearly understood and so indicated by repetition before action is taken by either.
