§ 402-27. Provisions for Renters.

  • In consideration of the payment of the rentals specified in this chapter, the city of Cincinnati agrees or requires that:

    (a)

    Lunken Airport shall be open to render service 24 hours a day.

    (b)

    The airport will be lighted for night flying in accordance with the standards established by the Federal Aviation Act of 1958.

    (c)

    Each major hangar and shop building shall be provided by the tenant with a first-aid kit which shall contain sterile dressings and other first-aid supplies which are appropriate for the type of activity in and around the hangar or building.

    (d)

    The air traffic-control tower will be kept informed of the condition of the runways and landing areas, and any runway temporarily unsafe for use will be properly marked as required by the federal air regulations.

    (e)

    Any person operating to, from or upon Lunken Airport and desiring to install gasoline tanks and pumps at Lunken Airport for the storage and handling of gasoline and oil, shall first obtain a permit from the director, which permit shall be approved by both the director of public utilities and the city manager, and which shall also state the exact location of such tanks and pumps, and shall specify the type of pumps for which the permit is issued.

    (f)

    The occupant of a hangar or building shall be responsible for the care of the grounds, and the aprons immediately adjoining such hangar or building.
