§ 306-23. Shift Differential.

  • Except as herein provided, any employee assigned to work a tour of duty which ends between 6:00 p.m. and 12:00 p.m. inclusive shall receive a shift differential of $0.20 per hour in addition to regular pay.

    Any employee assigned to work a tour of duty which ends after 12:00 p.m. (midnight) and before 10:00 a.m. shall receive a shift differential of $0.35 per hour in addition to regular pay.

    This section shall not apply to sworn personnel in the fire division except for those sworn personnel assigned to a 40 hours per week schedule who shall receive shift differential.

    This section shall also not apply to the classifications of airport service supervisor, city hall cleaning supervisor, and lodge caretaker.
