§ 204-1. Transfer of (Control and Direction of) General Hospital to the University of Cincinnati.

  • Pursuant to Article VI, Sections 3 and 7(d) of the charter, control and direction of the administrative and executive work of the General Hospital, which was transferred by Ordinance No. 107-1961, from the city manager to the board of directors of the University of Cincinnati shall be transferred to the board of trustees of the University of Cincinnati hereinafter referred to as the "trustees", subject to the terms and conditions of this chapter. The trustees are authorized to exercise, with respect to the operation of General Hospital, the same powers and authority and to fulfill the duties which the trustees exercise or fulfill with respect to other functions of the university; subject, however, to such restrictions and limitations as are contained in this chapter. The city manager is authorized to enter into a lease of the real property occupied by Cincinnati General Hospital, to the board of trustees of the University of Cincinnati, a state university. The trustees shall indicate their agreement to the terms and conditions of this chapter by appropriate resolution, after which time this chapter shall be the "operating agreement".
