§ 6. Mayor May Assume Command.
In time of public danger or emergency, as defined and proclaimed above, the mayor, or in the absence of the mayor the vice-mayor, is hereby authorized and given the consent of council to take command of the police, maintain order, and enforce the law under the provisions of Article III, Section 1 of the charter of the city of Cincinnati and to do all things necessary or advisable in regard thereto. The mayor may exercise any power or authority granted to mayors, administrative heads of cities or police chiefs by the laws of the state of Ohio.
