§ 0009-1. Definitions.

(A)

Nurse means a registered nurse or a licensed practical nurse as defined in Sections 4723.06 and 4723.15 of the Ohio Revised Code, respectively.

(B)

Home health aide means a person who performs under the supervision of the registered nurse, physical therapist, occupational therapist, or other appropriate therapist in providing personal care services and performing simple procedures essential to health care at home.

(C)

Physical therapist means a person as defined in Section 4731.62 of the Ohio Revised Code.

(D)

Nursing care means curative, restorative, and rehabilitative measures such as direct physical care, supportive emotional care, or patient and family teaching ministered at the direction of a physician to an ill person in his home or elsewhere in the presence of a disease or disabling condition, but does not include such care ministered to a patient or his family aimed primarily at the prevention of the spread of a communicable disease, all as required and defined in Ohio Revised Code 4723.06 and 4723.15.
