§ 00047-3. License to operate a public swimming pool, public spas or special use pool.

  • (A)

    No person shall operate or maintain a public swimming pool, public spa, or special use pool without a license issued by the health commissioner. Before a license is issued for a public swimming pool, public spa, or special use pool, such pool shall be in compliance with all board of health regulations, the COBBC, this code, and all other applicable laws of the city and state.

    (B)

    Every person who operates or maintains a public swimming pool, public spa, or special use pool shall, during the month of April of each year, apply to the health commissioner for a license to operate the pool or spa.

    (C)

    Each license issued shall be effective from the date of issuance until the last day of May of the following year.

    (D)

    The health commissioner may refuse to grant a license or may suspend or revoke at any time any license issued to any person for failure to comply with this Regulation and with the requirements of RC Ch. 3749 or the rules adopted thereunder.
